Firms will typically look to individuals qualified in England & Wales and the US (particularly in New York), although candidates from Australia and New Zealand are relatively popular too. Japanese language skills are essential for something like fifty percent of the practice roles we are instructed upon, but are almost always required for jobs in-house.
