Rare opportunity for senior lawyer seeking to make Tokyo his home, to take over existing practice The Firm This highly regarded law firm is no stranger to growth. With new offices having recently opened in several Asian and European cities, our client now has plans to build up its Tokyo presence. The Opportunity This is a Greenfield opportunity with plenty of potential. This highly respected global law firm continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing and maintaining a full service capability across Asia. There are definite partnership prospects and this position has the advantage of having already established client relationships to work from. Although the majority of the clients are project sponsors and companies, there will also be some finance work for banks.. The Requirements With a good grasp of commercial projects, particularly power and infrastructure, this role would be best suited to a technically able, client orientated lawyer. You will be required to travel frequently throughout SE Asia, particularly to Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. Japanese language is not essential although prior experience of living and working in Japan is highly desirable. You should be excited by the prospect of assisting with the significant expansion plans of this office. This role would be ideally suited for a candidate with 5-10 years PQE.
