This is an excellent in-house opportunity for an experienced mutual funds/asset management lawyer.

Our client is a group of powerhouse international companies which provide investment advice and market asset management products and services to its parent company, a global conglomerate, and to third party clients all over the world. As of 2008, our client managed over US$500 billion in assets. It employs professionals from various regions spanning the globe. It currently has several offices across the Asia ex-Japan region. A list of the full range of its investment activities include fixed income, listed equities, fund management and distribution, asset management and alternative investments.
The Opportunity
As senior counsel, you will provide legal advice and support in relation to the client’s mutual funds and asset management business in the Asia (ex-Japan) region including but not limited to:

the marketing and promotion of the client's investment management services and products to institutional clients in the region; |
| (ii) |
the introduction and offering of existing global mutual funds of the client in different countries in the region; |
| (iii) |
the establishment of asset management companies and/or local mutual funds in different countries in the region; and |
| (iv) |
M&A and other investment related transactions in the region. |

The Requirements
This position requires a lawyer with extensive mutual funds and asset management experience gained from a major international law firm or with a global investment house. You should be fluent in English and a second Asian language is preferred.
